Galahad really doing the business
(November 02, 2016)It's so pleasing to see that our very own Elderberry Galahad who was sold privately to Irish AI company Dovea Genetics is really doing the job for Irish commerical and pedigree breeders. He has been used extensively commercially (we believe he is one of the most used Limousin AI sires in Ireland) and has been proving easy calving with good terminal quality. His progeny are wide and easy fleshing and he is now being used extensively for pedigree breeding in Ireland, which we are very proud of. Fingers crossed we soon see some pedigree progeny that are the quality we know he can breed. We have used him in our herd (some straws retained as part of sale) and progeny are very pleasing indeed.
Elderberry Galahad's super dam Diablesse has thrown all heifers since having Galahad as her first calf and is currently in calf to our junior stock bull Jupiter. She coninues to be an impressive fleshy stylish cow with a lot of milking ability and a super pelvis, certainly one of the best cows in the herd.
